5.3.2 Other Errors
Problem Major Causes Remedy
The instrument lid cannot be
opened.
Power was lost/interrupted during operation (due to
power failure, etc.).
Inspect power source, power plug and power switch.
The lid lock is released when the rotation speed goes
below ±50rpm after power restoration.
Instrument lid push button failure
Contact Sakura Technical Support or distributor.
To remove specimen chambers, see “How to unlock the
lid mechanically during power outage”.
Faulty spring(s)
Worn bushing
The bowl lid cannot be opened.
The bowl lid is locked. Unlock the bowl lid.
The pressure inside the guard bowl is negative.
Warm the guard bowl and open the lid.
If the problem persists, contact Sakura Technical Support
or distributor.
Bowl lid lock/unlock mechanism failure
Warm the guard bowl and open the lid.
If the problem
persists, contact Sakura Technical Support

The guard bowl is distorted.
Keys on the control panel do not
react.
Faulty membrane switch

The power is not supplied.

Check if power supply on the facility side is normal.

Confirm that the power cord is firmly plugged.

Leakage in switching power supply
Blown fuse(s)
An electric shock occurred.
The grounding wire to the power input is disconnected.
Make sure that grounding wire is firmly connected.

or flickering.
Poor cable contact

Control panel board failure

Controller board failure

Specimen volume in each specimen chamber is not even. Fill the specimen chambers evenly.
Eccentricity of motor shaft and/or spindle

Distortion of guard bowl and/or rotor
Improperly adjusted balance sensor
Loose mounting screws in each part
Improper instrument installation
Place the instrument on a sturdy laboratory table or
bench.
