4.4 Storing the valve
Risk of valve damage due to improper stor-
age.
Î Observe the storage instructions.
Î Avoid long storage times.
Î Contact SAMSON in case of different
storage conditions or longer storage
times.
We recommend to regularly check the con-
trol valve and the prevailing storage condi-
tions during long storage periods.
Storage instructions
The control valves can be stored horizon-
tally. For storage periods longer than 4
months, we recommend storing the con-
trol valves in valve sizes DN150 or larg-
er upright with the actuator on top. Se-
cure the valve in the stored position
against slipping or tipping over.
Protect the control valve against external
inuences (e.g. impact).
Do not damage the corrosion protection
(paint, surface coatings). Repair any
damage immediately.
Protect the control valve against moisture
and dirt. Store it at a relative humidity of
less than 75%. In damp spaces, prevent
condensation. If necessary, use a drying
agent or heating.
Make sure that the ambient air is free of
acids or other corrosive media.
The permissible storage temperature is
between –20 and +65°C.
Do not place any objects on the control
valve.
Our after-sales service can provide more de-
tailed storage instructions on request.
