1. Gradually tighten the guide bolts (163.1)
of the spring loading assembly (163) at
the hex head clockwise in a crisscross
pattern (

turn at a time) until the correct
alignment of the guide bolts (163.1) to
the packing gland (162) is achieved.
The groove at the bottom of the guide
bolts (163.1) is ush with the bottom of
the packing gland (162). See Fig.5-8.
2. Open and close the valve several times.
3. Check the valve for leakage to the atmo-
sphere.
Î If the adjustable packing does not seal
properly, contact our after-sales service.
Î If tightening of the adjustable packing is
no longer possible because it has its
elasticity (see Fig.5-11), it must be re-
placed (see the 'Servicing' section).
