Installation
Rail mounting
1. Fasten the spring-loaded hook (4) at the
bottom of the top hat rail (3).
2. Slightly push the controller upwards and
pull the top hook (5) over the top hat rail.
Undo the two screws (1).
3. Pull apart the controller housing and the
base.
4. Perform electric wiring on the base as
describedinChapter5.4.
5. Remount the controller housing.
6. Tighten the two screws (1).
5.4 Electrical connection
Risk of fatal injury due to electric shock.
For electrical installation, you are required
to observe the relevant electrotechnical
regulations of the country of use as well as
the regulations of the local power suppli-
ers. Therefore, such work must be per-
formed by trained and experienced per-
sonnel.
The terminals 20, 22, 25 and 28 allow the
integration of safety equipment which have
a direct inuence on individual electric
actuators and pumps. If this is not the case,
connect a jumper from terminal 18 to
terminals 20, 22, 25 and 28.
Î Do not connect ELV cables (according to
VDE0100) to these terminals.
Î Before performing any work on the
terminals, disconnect the voltage supply
from the heating controller.
Notes on electric wiring
Î Install the 230 V power supply lines and
the signal lines separately and away
from each other.
Î To increase immunity, keep a minimum
distanceof10cmbetweenthelines.
Make sure the minimum distance is also
kept when the lines are installed in a
cabinet.
Î Install the lines for digital signals (bus
lines) and analog signals (sensor lines,
analog outputs) separately and away
from each other.
Î In plants with a high electromagnetic
noise level, we recommend using shield-
ed cables for the analog signals.
Î Ground the shield at one side, either at
the control cabinet inlet or outlet, using
the largest possible cross-section. Con-
nect the central grounding point and the
PE grounding conductor with a cable
withatleast10mm²wirecross-section
using the shortest route.
Î Inductances in the control cabinet, e.g.
contactor coils, must be equipped with
suitable interference suppressors (RC ele-
ments).
Î Shield control cabinet elements with high
eldstrength,e.g.transformersorfre-
quency converters, with separators pro-
viding a good connection to the PE
grounding conductor.
Î Use wires with wire cross-sections as list-
edinTable5-1forterminals.
