Start-up and conguration
The work described in this chapter is only to be performed by personnel appropriately quali-
edtocarryoutsuchtasks.
Before start-up, make sure the following conditions are met:
− The controller is properly mounted according to the instructions.
− The electrical connection is properly performed.
− Thermwarecorrespondstotheversionthatiscurrentlyavailable.

> Software & Drivers > Firmware and install it onto the controller (see the 'Servicing'
chapter).
The controller is adapted to its control task by performing start-up. Start-up usually involves
performing several steps:
1. Selectthehydraulicsystem(seeChapter7.1).
2. Changefunctionsandparameterstoadaptthesystem(seeChapters7.2and7.3).
3. Calibratethesensors(seeChapter7.4).
Themodicationsofthecontrollercongurationandparametersettingsdescribedinthis
chapter can only be performed after the valid key number has been entered.

mounting and operating instructions. To avoid unauthorized use of the service key number,
remove the page or make the key number unreadable. In addition, it is possible to enter a
new,customizedkeynumber(seeChapter7.5).

Changing the system code number resets previously adjusted function blocks to their default
settings (WE). Function block parameters and parameter level settings remain unchanged.
