Installing the wind/snow prevention duct
Installing the outdoor unit in windy region
In windy regions such as near sea shores, protection wall or wind protection duct must be installed for
normal operation of the outdoor unit. (Refer to the illustration of the snow prevention duct, for installing
the wind protection duct.)
Install the wind prevention duct with the consideration of major wind direction. If the direction of the
discharge part is same as major direction of the wind, it could cause product’s performance decrease.

Cautions regarding on installing the frame and selecting the base ground
࡛Ɵ˵ʪɵɇϑʪ˝θͱЇʒЇϑϩɵʪϑͱʒɇʒϩ˵ʪͱЇϩʒͱͱθЇϩЇϑϩɵʪѣуʪʒиϩ˵ɇʀ˵ͱθɵͱϩϑ
࡛Make sure to install outdoor unit in a place strong enough to withstand its weight. If the place
cannot withstand the weight of the outdoor unit, outdoor unit may fall and cause personal injury.
࡛When installing on a rooftop subject to strong wind, countermeasures must be taken to prevent
the unit from falling down.
࡛Use a frame that is resistant to corrosion.
