Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC)
Try the following solutions if you are having issues with Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC).
There is something
wrong with the TV
Try this!
What is Anynet+?
External devices that are connected to the TV and support HDMI-CEC can be controlled using
the TV remote. Namely, you can turn off the TV and external devices simultaneously.
Anynet+ isn't working.
Make sure the device is an Anynet+ device. The Anynet+ system supports Anynet+ devices
only.
Make sure the Anynet+ device's power cable has been plugged in securely.
Check the Anynet+ device's cable connections.
Anynet+ cannot function under specic circumstances.
For example, it will not work if Smart Hub or Reset is running while channel searching is in
progress.
When connecting or disconnecting an HDMI cable, make sure to turn the TV off and then back
on again.
Make sure Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) is set to On.
Settings General External Device Manager Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC)
I want to end Anynet+.
Turning on a peripheral
device also turns the TV
on unintentionally.
The connected device
(set top box) also turns
off.
To terminate the Anynet+ feature on one specic device connected to the TV, disable Anynet+
(HDMI-CEC) on the concerned device.
Settings General External Device Manager Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC)
Once Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) is disabled, the sound bar connected to the TV via HDMI (eARC) port
is no longer turned on or off along with the TV. To prevent one specic device connected to the
TV from being turned off automatically, disable the HDMI-CEC feature on that device.
HDMI (ARC) is supported by some models. Check the HDMI port name of the purchased
product's model.
The "Conguring Anynet+
connection…" or
"Disconnecting from
Anynet+ device" message
will appear.
The remote cannot be used while Anynet+ is being congured or switching over to viewing
mode.
Wait until the Anynet+ conguration or the switchover to viewing mode is completed before
using the remote.
I can’t play an Anynet+
device.
Playback is not available while Reset is running.
The connected device
isn't showing.
Make sure the device supports Anynet+.
To use Anynet+, the external device must be connected via an HDMI cable. See if the external
device has been connected via an HDMI cable.
Also note that the HDMI cable used may not support Anynet+.
If the power went out or the connection to the external device was severed, try scanning for
the Anynet+ device again.
Make sure Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) is set to On.
