Before Setting Up Wireless Internet
Wireless Internet Precautions
This poduct supports IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac protocols. Samsung Electronics recommends the use of IEEE
802.11n. Video files stored on a device connected to the TV via a home network may not play back smoothly.
Depending on the model, certain IEEE 802.11 communication protocols may not be supported.
To use wireless internet, you must first connect the TV to a wireless router or modem. If the wireless router
supports DHCP, you can connect the TV to the internet using DHCP or a static IP address.
Select a wireless-router channel that is not currently in use. If the selected channel is currently being used by
another device nearby, there may be a signal interference.
Most wireless networks have security features. To secure a wireless internet, you can create a security key made
up of a set number of letters and numbers. This security key will need to be entered by anyone attempting to
connect to the concerned wireless network.
Wireless Security Protocols
The TV supports only the following wireless network security protocols and is unable to connect to non-certied
wireless routers.
Authentication Modes: WEP, WPAPSK, WPA2PSK
Encryption Types: WEP, TKIP, AES
This product, as per the Wi-Fi certication standards, do not support connecting to a wireless router that has been
set to High-Throughput (Greeneld) 802.11n mode and to use WEP or TKIP security encryption.
If the wireless router supports WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup), you can connect the TV to the network using PBC (Push
Button Conguration) or a PIN (Personal Identication Number). SSID and WPA key settings are congured
automatically when connecting via WPS.
