Connecting to a PC
1. Connect the device to the computer using the
microUSB cable.
2. Open My computer folder and double-click the
device name.
3. Transfer files between the computer and the device.
4. Remove the microUSB cable from the device.
Notes:
Do not remove the microUSB cable from the device
while transferring files. Doing so may result in the loss
of data or damage to your device.
MacOS computers require an additional tool called
Android File Transfer, which is provided by Google.
Do not disconnect the device from a computer while
the computer is playing a file stored on your device.
Stop playback before disconnecting the device from
the computer.
Your device may not be recognized if you connect it to
a USB hub. Connect your device directly to a USB port
on a computer.
Connecting to a Wi-Fi Network
Connect the device to a Wi-Fi network to use the Internet or
share media files with other devices.
Turning Wi-Fi On and Off
To turn Wi-Fi on or off:
On the
Apps
screen, select
Settings
Wi-Fi
, and
then drag the
Wi-Fi
OFF / ON
icon to set it ON.
Joining Wi-Fi Networks
To join a Wi-Fi network:
1. Select a network from the list of detected
Wi-Fi networks.
2. Enter a password if necessary, and then
select
Connect
.
Networks that require a password appear with a lock icon.
After the device connects to a Wi-Fi network, the device will
automatically connect to it any time it is available.
