Thismachineusesatonercartridge,transferroller,andLSUformonoprinting.
Thetonercartridgeasintegratedtypeconsistsofthetonerbottle,drumunitanddevelopmentunit.Thedrumunit
consistsofanOPCdrum,chargeroller,cleaningroller,andcleaningblade.Thedevelopmentunitconsistsofthedeve.
roller,supplyroller,Dr.blade,andagitator.
TheOPCdrumischargedwithanegativevoltagebythechargerollerandisexposedbythelightfromtheLSU(Laser
Scanningunit).
ThelightproducedbyalasercreatesalatentimagebydischargingonthesurfaceoftheOPCdrum.Thenegativelycharged
tonersareattractedtothelatentimageduetotheelectriceld.Thetoner(realimage)ontheOPCdrumaremovedtothe
paperbythepositivebiasappliedtothetransferroller.
1)OPCdrumcharge:ThechargerollergivestheOPCdrumanegativecharge.
2)Laserexposure:Lightproducedbyalaserdiode(LD)hitsthechargedOPCdrumthroughthelensandmirrors.The
machinecontrolsthelaserbeamon/offforthelatentimage.
3)Development:ThedevelopingrollercarriesthenegativelychargedtonertothelatentimageontheOPCdrumsurface.
4)Transfer:Thenegativelychargedtoneristransferredtothepaperbytransfervoltage.
5)CleaningforOPCdrum:ThecleaningbladeremoveremainingtonerontheOPCdrumsurfaceafterimagetransfer
tothepaper.
