Why doesn't my Samsung SDS-P3042 DVR recognize all the installed HDDs?
If the DVR does not recognize all installed disks when you have connected multiple external HDDs to the Samsung Security System, it may take time for the DVR to recognize them. Try again in a moment. If the problem persists, it may be due to a mechanical error of the HDD installed. Try again with a different HDD.

If your player does not display a Live image at all, that indicates recording does not work, so first check if you see an image on the screen.
