Forming part of the SRD series of Digital Video Recorders (DVRs),

the SRD-1610 range provides users with an entry-level 16 channel

recording solution that has been designed to perfectly match the

functionality and budget requirements for a host of professional

security applications. Providing real-time live view and selectable

recording rates across all channels, users are able to record up

to 120/100 (NTSC/PAL) fps at CIF resolution, 60/50 fps at 2-CIF

resolution and 30/25 fps at 4-CIF resolution. Besides its flexible

recording capacity, like all SRD series DVRs the SRD-1610 range

utilises Samsung’s high level H.264 compression to ensure superb

quality, whilst minimising hard drive space and bandwidth

requirements. Options include a built-in DVD drive (SRD-1610D)

and coaxial control compatibility (SRD-1610DC).

  If some channels on your Samsung DVR display a black screen even if they receive video sources, first check if the camera connected to the system properly displays the image and if the camera is properly supplied with power. Sometimes, this problem may occur on a channel with weak video signal from a video distributor that is connected to multiple systems. In this case, input the video source of the camera directly into the DVR.

  If the image quality of the recording data on your Samsung DVR isn't satisfactory, try increasing the resolution and quality level in Menu – Record – Quality / Resolution. Select a bigger size when specifying the recording size (4CIF>2CIF>CIF). Specify a bigger level for the recording quality. Keep in mind that increasing resolution and recording quality will increase the data size, filling the HDD faster and overwriting existing data sooner.
