Ensure wall or supporting structure has adequate strength for the heater.
Minimum 350mm unobstructed space above heater lid for valve replacement.
Heater base must be level with or higher than the highest draw-off point.
Install servicing valves on inlet and outlet pipes per regulations.
Decide best position considering inlet/outlet connections and clearances.
Mark, drill, and insert wall fixings using template for accurate placement.
Fit float valve with appropriate seating for inlet pressure conditions.
Install overflow fitting with dip tube and blanking plugs in unused holes.
Make electrical connections and set controls; do not switch on yet.
Connect heater outlet to services, ensuring support and pipe clearance.
Connect mains water to float valve using 15mm pipe and appropriate coupling.
Connect overflow pipe with 22mm compression fitting, ensuring continuous fall.
Fit screened breather into lid and secure with the plastic nut.
Supply fused at 13A via accessible double pole isolating switch.
Use heat-resisting cable (85°C) with minimum 1.5 mm² cross-section.
Check and adjust thermostat and thermal cut-out before final connection.
Strip cable sheath and conductors; thread cable through the grip.
Connect live, neutral, and earth conductors to their respective terminals.
Fit terminal cover securely and tighten cable grip screws.
Connect supply cable after fitting, ensure electrical supply is off.
Adjust thermostat to max, then back 45° for recommended setting.
Set thermal cut-out 15°C above thermostat, not exceeding 85°C.
Isolate electrical supply and drain unit via hot tap and drain nut.
Remove terminal cover, disconnect supply, unscrew immersion heater.
Re-assemble with new gasket, check for leaks, turn on supply.
