6 Warranty information
12 months from date of delivery, not applicable in case of mechanical defects. If damage
occurs during initial transport, this must be claimed immediately after receipt together with a
picture. The costs for shipping the instrument to the manufacturer are carried by the
customer, return shipping charges are covered by the manufacturer. For return shipping to
the manufacturer, a pressure tight box or suitcase must be used.
The warranty is voided under the following circumstances:
•
if the instrument has not been handled with due care
•
if the instrument has been immersed in water
•
if the counter tube has been damaged by a tool or other device or object
•
if the instrument has fallen
•
if the instrument has been opened (other than to take off the grid or change the
battery)
•
if the instrument has been transported by airplane without the use of an appropriate
transport box
•
if the instrument has been treated with detergents or solvents
