11. FACE SHIELD WITH INTEGRATED PINLOCK
®
-LENSE
The Face Shield with integrated Pinlock
®
-lense is a double-
wall Face Shield that reduces fogging. The two visor plates are
separated from each other and sealed with transparent, flexible
silicone. The inner visor plate is fixed in place by eccentric pins,
which pretensions the two visor plates towards each other and
creates the sealing effect. An insulating air cushion is thus formed
between the visor’s main plate – i.e. the outer plate – and the
inner plate, which prevents any fogging up of the inner plate.
COATING
The main plate has a HighClear
®
anti-scratch coating on both
sides.
Note:
The helmet should never be used to hold gloves or any other
objects as this may damage the scratch-sensitive Pinlock
®
inner Face Shield.
Note:
The Pinlock
®
inner visor is supplied with a protective film.
Remove this film before using the helmet for the first time.
Note:
The Pinlock
®
inner visor may only be used in conjunction
with the SCHUBERTH main Face Shield that has been specially
designed for this purpose. Other Face Shields must not be
fitted.
