Replace the strap's batteries if it has replaceable batteries. Try moving the unit away from potential sources of interference like TVs or microwaves. If the issue remains after eliminating interference, replace the strap. If the heart rate still doesn't function, consider replacing the console.

  If the speed displayed on your Schwinn Elliptical Trainer is always “0” or stuck in Pause mode, make sure the data cable is connected to the back of the Console and the main frame assembly. Also, make sure the Speed Sensor Magnet and the Speed Sensor are in place.

  If there's no speed/RPM reading on your Schwinn Elliptical Trainer, check that all wires in the cable are intact and replace the cable if any are cut or crimped. Ensure the cable is securely connected and oriented properly, with the small latch on the connector lined up and snapped into place. Verify the magnet is in place on the pulley. Also, the Speed Sensor Assembly should be aligned with the magnet and connected to the data cable; realign the sensor if necessary, and replace it if damaged.
