This picture shows the correct end result.
At about 20 cm from the pulley, tighten the two ends of the belt between your
thumb and the little finger of your hand. The belt is correctly tensioned if, with little
eort, you can make them touch each other.
Periodically check the belt for wear and tension.
Periodically use silicone spray if it becomes noisy.
Do not use detergents, solvents, rust sprays, or products such as Svitol® or
WD40®.
A belt which is too tight will be noisy, cause high power consumption and can
aect the proper operation of the system.
A belt which is too slack tends to jump over the gears.
HOW TO TENSION THE BELT CORRECTLY
Adjust the belt tension by screwing or unscrewing
the bolt (A) with the allen wrench.
After completing the
operation, tighten the bolt (B).
Tighten the belt by hand.
Pass the belt flap through the two free slots of the
junction bracket, locking it in place.
Cut o the excess part of the belt.
