- Whenever possible, avoid reverberation of sounds on walls or other buildings:
the noise will be amplified.
- If the exhaust muffler on your generating set is not fitted with a spark arrestor
and must be used in woods, bushy areas or in a field, ensure that sparks will
not cause a fire (clear a large area where you plan to place your generating
set).

- Before using your generating set, you must know how to bring it to an imme-
diate stop and understand properly all the controls and operations.
- Never let other people use the generating set without having previously given
them the necessary instructions.
- Never let a child touch the generating set, even when it is not running.
- Avoid operating the generating set close to animals.
- Never start the engine without an air filter or an exhaust muffler.
- Do not reverse the positive and negative battery connections when mounting
them. This can cause severe damage to the electrical equipment.
- Never cover the generating set with any material while it is running or imme-
diately after it has been stopped (wait for the engine to cool down).
- Never coat the generating set with a film of oil with the intention of protecting
it against rust.
- In all cases, respect the local regulations in force concerning generating sets
before using your own.

The engine must not be operated in areas containing explosive
products. As all the electrical components are not shielded, sparks can be pro-
duced.
The replacement of the fuel filter must be carried out on a cold engine to avoid
any risk of fire due to fuel spillage.
Always cover the alternator if it is placed under the fuel filters. Fuel spillage can
damage the alternator.
