Fueling Procedure
WARNING
Followthesesafeboatingfueling
instructions meticulously.
Turn off engine.
Do not allow anyone to remai n on the
watercraft.
Tie watercraft securely to the fueling
pier.
Have a fire extinguisher close at hand .
Do not inse rt the spout too far in filler
neck.
Pour fuel slowly so that air can escape
from the t ank and preven t fu el flow -
back. Be careful not to spill fuel.
Stop fillin g when the fuel reaches the
bottom of filler nec k. Do no t fill into
the filler tube to prevent fuel spill out.
Do no t overfill. Fully tighten fuel tan k
cap.
WARNING
Always stop the engine before re-
fueling. Fuel is fl ammable and ex-
plosive under certain conditions.
Always work in a well ventilated
area. Do not smoke o r allow open
flames or sparks in the vicinity. Fu-
el tank may be pressurize d, turn
cap slowly when opening. Never
use an open flame to check fuel
level. When fueling, keep water-
craft level. Do not overfi ll or top
off the fuel tank and leave water-
craft in the sun. As temperature
increases, fuel expands and m ight
overflow. Alwayswipeoffanyfuel
spillag e fro m the watercraft. Peri-
odically verify fuel system.
