8.0 Media characteristics
This section provides information regarding the media used in Barracuda
2LP disc drives.
8.1 Media description
The media used on the drive has a diameter of approximately 95 mm (3.7
inches). The aluminum substrate is coated with a thin-film magnetic mate-
rial, which has a proprietary protective layer for improved durability and
environmental protection.
