The
controller provides error recovery routines which
are
necessary to
assure data integrity. These techniques
include ECC, seek-retry, read-
retry, head-offset and defect management. To assure a high degree
of
data reliability, the controller utilizes a 32-bit error checking and correc-
tion polynomial.
