4. Removing the rollers (Page 8).
Use a suitable tool to remove the lock washer (Item 8.1). Slightly bend the spring shackles open to do so.
Attention: Replace this washer when you reassemble the unit.
Remove the clamp elements (Item 8.2).
Remove the two rollers (Item 8.3) and pull the axle (Item 8.4) out of the bearing.
If required: Remove the lock washer (Item 8.5).
5. Dismantling the platform (Page 9).
Remove the frame (Item 9.1):
Remove the four nuts and washers (Item 9.2).
To remove the insert from the platform plate (Item 9.3):
Remove the nuts and washers (Item 9.4).
If required: Turn off the rubber metals (Item 9.5). Pay attention to the spacer disks (Item 9.6).
If required: Remove the mat (Item 9.7).
Attention: The mat will be destroyed.
Remove the residues of mat and adhesive from the platform plate (Item 9.8).
Once you have removed the mat (Item 9.7), you can replace the screws for the insert of the platform plate
(Item 9.3) and the screws for the rubber metals (Item 9.10).
6. Dismantling the frame (Page 10).
Preparatory dismantling:
Open the housing for the evaluation electronics and the rechargeable battery pack (Item 10.1). (See
Page 11):
Remove the bottom housing half (Item 11.13) by removing the bottom four self-tapping screws (Item
11.4, 11.6).
If not yet done: Detach the plug-in connection for the rechargeable battery pack (Item 11.3).
Remove the rechargeable battery pack.
Unsolder the cable connections from the load cells and take the cable run out of the housing.
To remove mains socket and cable (see Page 12):
Remove the screw (Item 12.1) and lift off the cover (Item 12.2).
Remove the two screws (Item 12.3).
Remove mains socket and cable, cable gland and ferrite. (Item 12.4).
If required: Unwind the cable from the ferrite and detach the cable gland.
To remove the housing for the evaluation electronics and the rechargeable battery pack (Item 10.1):
Remove the 2 screw couplings (Item 10.2) and lift off the housing and the supporting disks (Item 10.3).
To remove the holder for mains socket and bubble level (Page 10.4):
Remove the 2 screw couplings (Item 10.11) and lift off the holder and the supporting disks (Item 10.12).
Remove the PCB guard (Item 10.13) by removing the nuts and washers (Item 10.14).
Remove the weighing cells (Item 10.15) by removing the nuts and washers (Item 10.16). Pay attention to
the spacer disks (Item 10.17). Remove the screws (Items 10.18, 10.19). Attention: The longer screws
(Item 10.18) must be inserted at the same positions since the load cell cover is fastened to them.
Carefully thread the load cell cable out of the frame tubes.
If required: Unscrew the adjusting feet (Item 10.20, 10.21).
