to reflected
light
measurement
often

the snow

and distorts
the
reading.
This
problem
does
not
arise,
however,
with Sekonic's
incident
light
meter.
The
reflection
factor
for
fresh
snow
is 7O%.
lt is
60%
for
'city'
or
old snow.
With
your
Sekonic
you
compensate for
this
reflection
mathematically
and
thereby avoid mistakes.
You
find
the shutter
speed
by regular
incident
light
measurement
and
increase
it
by
I/
4

or L/2.
For
example :
When the
measured

Over-exposed
pictures

When
taking
pictures
under
a clouded sky, snow
reflected
light
measurement
will
give
satisfactory
results.
Place Lumigrid
in
the
socket of the
Sekonic
Studio Deluxe
a
nd direct it
slightly downward
from
the
ca mera
position
to
the
subject.
The H

Slide
cannot
be
used,
but be sure
to
set
the
t'H"
mafk
to
the
Dial
Scale.
