(1) Printing off-center
The printing off-center can be adjusted using manual paper feed as a
reference, in the following manner:
1 Check the setting of printing off-center in the manual paper feed
mode, by executing SIM 50-10.
2 Using manual paper feed setting as a reference, adjust the docu-
ment (OC cover) off-center. (refer to 5-(2).)
3 Execute SIMs 50-10 and 50-11, adjust the settings of the tray
(cassette) and ADU off-center according to the setting of manual
paper feed.
4 Adjust the tray and ADU off-center, referring to the setup proce-
dure.
(The tray and ADU off-center should be adjusted not by simula-
tions, but by mechanical means.)
(2) Adjusting document off-center
This adjustment should be performed in the manual paper feed
mode.
A. Document table
1
Lay a reference document on the document table.
(Prepare a reference document carrying an arrow at its center, as
shown below.)
2 Execute SIM 50-12.
The following message appears on the display.
After warming up,
3 The RPL lamp comes on. Turn the print button On produces a
copy of the reference document. Changing the setting by 1 moves
the arrow 0.25 mm to respective directions.
• If the arrow is located above the center line as shown in 1,
increase the value displayed on the COPIES MADE section.
• If the arrow is located below the center line as shown in 2,
decrease the value displayed on the COPIES MADE section.
The value displayed can be changed by carrying out the following key
operation.
