11 COLOUR
SYSTEM
1 When E-12CH PAL COLOUR BAR is received
and another mode except PAL or AUTO is se-
lected in the colour system,
Verify that the colour must not be properly op-
erated.
2 When E-10CH SECAM COLOUR BAR is re-
ceived and another mode except SECAM or
AUTO is selected in the colour system,
Verify that the colour must not be properly op-
erated.
3 When E-37CH NTSC 4.43 COLOUR BAR is
received and another mode except N4.43 or
AUTO is selected in the colour system,
Verify that the colour must not be properly
operated.with UP/DOWN.
4 When JA-8CH NTSC 3.58 COLOUR BAR is
received and another mode except N3.58 or
AUTO is selected in the colour system,
Verify that the colour must not be properly op-
erated.
Note:Take care that the colour and
sound must not be properly
operated with the special sig-
nal E-4, E-37, J-38 and E-64
in the auto mode.(Check it in
the forcible mode.)
12 SOUND
SYSTEM
1 When OI-9CH PAL COLOUR BAR is received
and M, B/G, I is selected in the sound system,
Verify that the sound must not be properly out-
put.
2 When E-23CH monoscope is received and M,
B/G, D/K is selected in the sound system,
Verify that the sound must not be properly out-
put.
3 When E-12CH colour bar is received and M, I,
D/K is selected in the sound system,
Verify that the sound must not be properly out-
put.
4 When JA-8CH colour bar is received and B/G,
I, D/K is selected in the sound system,
Verify that the sound must not be properly out-
put.
Note:Take care that 5.5M of 1 and
6.5M of 3 are slight in the
variation.
13 SPATIALIZER
Key
1 Receive E-5CH music broadcast.
2 The sound mode must be switched with
SPATIALIZER key (R/C) as follows.
SPATIALIZER OFF ↓
SPATIALIZER 1 ↓
SPATIALIZER 2 ↓
3 Verify that the sound from the speaker in the
MONO mode is felt to be wide.
R/C key or MENE screen
14 S-BOOSTER 1 Receive E-5CH music broadcast.
2 Select S-BOOSTER in S-mode.
3 The high/low bands must be varied with ON/
OFF.
(The high/low bands must be raised with ON.)

PROTECTOR OPERATION CHECK
1 H, V protector 1 Receive E-5CH (monoscope pattern).
2 Connect the bias box to the cathode side
(R1662 side) of D1621.
3 Set the voltage of the bias box at 15V, and verify
that the protector does not operate.
4 Set the voltage of the bias box at 24V, and verify
that the protector operates.

on, take care for the breakage, deterioration
