Timer and sleep operation
Timer playback:
The unit turns on and plays the desired source (disc or tuner) at a
preset time.
Sleep operation:
The radio or disc can be turned off automatically.
Before setting timer:
You can use buttons on the remote control instead of the operation
lever.
Press the SHIFT button before pressing the TIMER or the MEM-
ORY button.

1 Check that the clock is set to the correct time (refer to page 10).
2 Load a disc to be played.

Press the ON/STAND-BY button to turn the power on.

Press the FUNCTION button to select the desired source
(disc or tuner).
Depending on the source, insert a disc or tune in to a station.

Adjust the volume using the volume control.
Do not turn the volume up too high.

Press the TIMER button. Within 8 seconds, press the MEM-
ORY/SET button.

Within 1 minute, move the operation lever toward PRESET
or PRESET to specify the hour to start, then press the
MEMORY/SET button.

Within 1 minute, move the operation lever toward PRESET
or PRESET to specify the minutes to start, then press
the MEMORY/SET button.

The timer playback starting time, function, and volume will be
displayed, and then the unit will enter the stand-by mode au-
tomatically.

To cancel the timer playback:
Press the ON/STAND-BY button to turn the power on.
