20. CHECKING THE GEAR BACKLASH ON THE OUTPUT SHAFT
This is the procedure to check the gear backlash on the output sha:
1. Do all the necessary procedures to remove the ropes from the tracon sheave
2. Remove the ropes from the tracon sheaves
3. Remove the cover on top of the worm wheel housing
4. Fix the magnec base of the dial indicator to the housing
5. Place the dial indicator on the worm wheel tooth ank, make sure it is tangenal to the worm
wheel outside diameter.
