Selore lnstalling the type basket carriage, press rollers 10 in the direclion af
ribbon lilter 20. Slide type basket carriage with its rollers 11 and ball bearing
12 onto bail 5, so thaI roller 13 rests against rail 8. Make sure that ribbon lilter
20 is moved post the ribbon dellecting roller. When the carriage is pushed
along, rollers 10 glide on printer bail 7. Guide pin 14 engages in guide bar 15
and the
live bellcranks 16 01 the type basket carriage engage the bent top
edges 01 the live transfer bars 6. This ensures positive contact between the (
type basket carriage and the lower section 01 the printer. It is advisable to
leave the type basket carriage in the beginning-ol-line position. Now introduce
brake lever 3 into brake cylinder 4. Push axle 2 upwards through the bore 01
brake lever 3 and engage lock 1 Irom above in the recess 01 axle 2.
Now return rock 9 into its rear position (Fig.1 0) so that bail 5 and the type
basket carriage are brought into their bottom positions (Letters position).
Disengage the Iront eye of carriage return spring 17 Irom pin 18 and engage it
in plate 19.

Oiling before placing in operation
Selore placing the machine in operation, reoil all points shown in yellow ink in
Figs. 3 a, b, c, especially the felts and the sensing edges 01 selector armature (
and selector lever (Fig. 3 cl, using teleprinter oil I or teleprinter oil K.
Attaching the paper guide to pageprinter with metal cover (Fig. 2)
Attach the paper guide 21 from below to clamps 22 and secure it in position by
tightening the knurled nuts.

ing to drawing in the lid of the metal cover or according to the description given
in the Operating Instructions Fs Wo 2186/1 supplied along with the machine.
