3.4.8 Blowing-out unit
Deposits at the aspirating holes of the pipe system affect air aspiration and have
the potential to trigger an alarm. Use compressed air to blow out and clean the
pipe system. This will remove deposits from the aspirating holes and capillary
tubes. The 'Purge' function can be used to activate the external blowing-out unit via
a relay output of the aspirating smoke detector.
Only ever use a suitable blowing-out unit to clean by blowing out.
Follow local regulations.
