ALARM Procedure
with Alarm Verification Concept (AVC), suggested possible procedure, subject to local requirements
Action / Condition Consequence / Status
1.
Press <Acknowledge> on the PMI before allowed
response time (t1) runs out (Password required)
Buzzer is turned off, alarm is acknowledged.
Countdown t2 for the investigation of the cause of alarm starts.
2.
Read top line on display:
"Fire brigade in" "mm:ss"
Remaining time is shown as countdown before building
evacuation and Fire Brigade call.
3.
Read fire location on display.
4.
Go to the fire location.
Information on the cause of ALARM,
damage limitation.
5.
Decide: MAJOR INCIDENT or minor incident.
If required, initiation of suitable emergency measures.
6.
MAJOR INCIDENT:

Press <Alarm delay off>
or actuate nearest manual call point.
Read top line on display:
● "Remote transmission activated"
● "Fire brigade called !"
● "Call fire brigade !"
Remote transmission switched off / not available or
defective.
The remote transmission for fire alarm is activated
immediately.
● Transmission to fire brigade not confirmed yet.
● ALARM transmitted to fire brigade.
● Fire brigade must be called by phone!
No automatic transmission to fire brigade.

Press <Reset>.
(Password required)
Fire detection system is in normal condition unless another event
occurs.
It may be necessary to vent the room before resetting is possible.
Elements that cannot be reset can be switched off temporarily.
7.
During the alarm, optionally press
<Sounders Evacuate> on the PMI.
(Password required)
Deactivates the acoustic alarm devices during the alarm.
(Reactivation is possible by pressing the button again)
