3.4 Mounting the Analyzer
The following procedures should be used to mount the Maxum II to wall or bulkhead. See the
illustration, Figure 3-4 Example Maxum II outline drawing (Air-bath or Airless Oven on left and
Modular Oven on right) (Page 18).
CAUTION
Use safe handling techniques for heavy objects
Prior to wall mounting and without the sampling system, the Maxum II will weigh a minimum
of 150 pounds (68 kg) and can weigh substantially more depending on the configuration. To
mount the Maxum II to the wall, use a mechanical lift or the number of people specified in the
user’s policy on lifting and installing. Failure to use care in this area can result in personal injury
and equipment damage.
CAUTION
Use only designated lifting points
The Maxum II should be lifted only by the mounting brackets on the back or supported from the
bottom (be sure to protect any bottom connections). Never allow the analyzer to be supported
on its side or front. It can be moved in either the horizontal or vertical position. Failure to follow
this practice may result in equipment damage.
