A BACnet object is analogous to a System 600 APOGEE point. BACnet identifies each object
by its object type enumeration and an
instance number.
Each instance number is unique for
any particular object type across an entire network of BCUs. This assumption allows for
mapping BACnet objects directly into a System 600 APOGEE point number.
Trane expresses object addresses through the following notation:
