Procedure for standard M12 connector
To connect PROFINET IO to the PROFINET device via the BusAdapter BA 2xM12, follow these
steps:
1. Plug the BusAdapter BA 2×M12 into the PROFINET device.
2. Screw the BusAdapter BA 2×M12 to the PROFINET device (1 screw with 0.25 Nm tightening
torque).
3. Plug the M12 bus connector into the PROFINET port on the BusAdapter BA 2×M12.
Tightening torque for the M12 screw connector is 0.4 - 0.5 Nm.
Procedure for push-pull connectors
Insert the connector axially into the socket till the connection clicks into place.
You can detach the connector with an axial pull on the outer unlocking sleeve. To do so, you
need to first disassemble the BusAdapter.
Note
Simple unlocking of the push
-pull connector without previous disassembly of the
-pull connectors, if necessary, pull the unlatching strap over the connector.
The unlatching strap allows detaching of the connector without previous disassembly of the
BusAdapter
