2.1 Configuration of PC station

• Select the "Start > SIMATIC > SIMATIC Manager" menu command or double-click on the corresponding icon on
the desktop. The SIMATIC Manager starts.
• Select the SIMATIC PC station in the "Projects" folder of the component view.
• Change the name of the SIMATIC PC station to the PC name.
• In the "Properties" of the PC station, click on "Computer name identical to PC station name".
2 Double-click on the object "Configuration" in the right window of the SIMATIC Manager. The HW Config opens.

• In the Hardware Catalog, open the folder
"SIMATIC PC Station" > "CP-PROFIBUS" > "CP 5613 A2"
• Use a drag-and-drop operation to move the object "SW V6.2..." to Index 1 of the configuration table.
The "Properties - PROFIBUS Interface CP 5613 A2 (R0 / R1)" dialog opens.
• Set the address of the PROFIBUS master, e.g. 0.
• Select a PROFIBUS subnet.
• Click "OK".
The defaults are accepted.
Notes:
• A WinCC application was inserted previously by the PCS 7 wizard for creating a new project.
• The HW Catalog may contain a newer version of the CP 5613 A2. If the PC supports this, move it to the
configuration table using drag-and-drop.
4 Save and compile the configuration: "Station > Save and Compile".
Make sure the result contains no errors.
