Foreword
Purpose of the Manual
This manual describes the maintenance procedures that are necessary or recommended to
ensure the continuous reliability of a device. It tells you which components should be checked
on a routine basis and when to replace them.
Target Audience
This manual is intended for maintenance and operating staff.
Validity of the Manual
This manual is valid for SIMEAS R and SIMEAS R-PMU.
The procedure is described using the example of a device in a ZE 32/64 housing. The procedure
is equivalent for a device in a ZE 8/16 housing.
Maintenance Measures
The following components must be checked at intervals and replaced if necessary, in order to
ensure the proper functioning of a device.
Battery on the CPU module:
Replace the battery after four years.
Battery pack on the power supply module (optional):
Replace the battery pack after three years.
