Shipping backup batteries
Backup batteries may only be shipped in the original packaging. No special authorization is
required to ship backup batteries. The lithium content is approximately 300 mg.
Note
The backup battery is classified as a hazardous substance, Class 9 in accordance with the
relevant air-freight transportation regulations.
For information on handling backup batteries, see Section Fan/battery module (Page 74).
Storage of backup batteries
Always store backup batteries in a cool and dry place. The maximum shelf life is 10 years.
