Requirement/presence of the battery (from V4.2)
System variables can be used to evaluate:
● Whether a battery is required for the operation of the device (or not)
● Whether a battery is present (or not)

MANDATORY Battery is required for the backup of the retain data and
the real-time clock (RTC) of the device. .batteryexisting
can be used to query whether a battery is available.
OPTIONAL The retain data and the real-time clock (RTC) are
backed up via SuperCap. A battery can be used as an
option to extend the backup time. .batteryexisting can
be used to query whether a battery is available.
