10. Maintenance/cleaning
DANGER! Risk of electric shock!
• Make sure the fan (8) is unplugged from the mains power before
cleaning.
• Do not immerse the fan (8) in water.
• Do not allow water or detergent to run into the fan (8).
Maintenance is required if the fan (8) has been damaged in any way, for example if the device housing is
damaged, if liquids or objects have penetrated the fan (8) or if it has been exposed to rain or moisture.
Servicing is also necessary when the product does not perform normally or if it has been dropped. If you
notice any smoke, unusual noises or strange smells, disconnect the fan (8) from the mains power immediately.
If this occurs, the fan (8) should no longer be used until it has been inspected by authorised service personnel.
All servicing work must be carried out by qualified specialist personnel. Never open the housing on the fan
(8).
• You can remove major dust portions with a vacuum cleaner.
• Only use a clean, slightly damp cloth to clean the fan (8). Never use any aggressive liquids.
• For stubborn dirt, add a little detergent to the damp cloth.
• If necessary, you can also clean the safety guards/ventilation grille (10) with a soft brush.
11. Storage when not in use
If you are not using the fan (8) for an extended period, clean it and store it in a safe place away from dust.
