• Itisessentialtofamiliariseyourselffullywiththecorrectprocedureforsettingupthejigbefore
attemptingtostartthecut
• Beforeusingthisjigwerecommendthatyouperformafewpracticejointswithoff-cutsof
worktopsorothermaterialstofamiliariseyourselfwiththejig
• Childrenandanimalsshouldalwaysbekeptatasafedistancefromyourwork.Makeyourwork
areachildproof
• Alwaysunplugyourpowertoolsfromthemainspowersupplybeforesettingup,changing
accessories,makingadjustmentsormaintenance
• Alwaysconnectyourrouterandotherpowertoolstoadustextractionsystem,tomaintainasafe
andcleanworkenvironment
• Sweepawayresidualsawdustaftereachcuttopreventtheworkareafrombecomingslippery
• Alwaysensurethattheworktopissupportedproperlyandsecuredrmlytoabenchortrestle
beforecutting
• Ensurethatthejigisrmlyclampedtothesurfaceoftheworktop
• Makesuretheworkareaiscompletelyclearsothatthereisthemaximumamountofworkspace
available
• Eachcutshouldbemadefromlefttoright
• Thecuttermustalwaysenterthroughthepost-formed(front)edge,exceptwhenproducingthe
boltholes
• Whenplungingtherouter,makesureeachcutisamaximumof8mmdeep
• Donotuseabluntroutercutterasthiswillseverelyaffectthequalityofthenaljoint
During Cutting
•Alwayswearadequatepersonalprotectionequipment,includingeyeprotection,eardefenders
andadustmask,whensettingupandusingarouterandotherpowertools
•Makesurethatthepathoftherouteriskeptclearofanyobstructions
•Makesurethatthepegsarermlyinpositionandarenotproudofthejig'ssurface
•Ensurethatthepowercableoftherouterisclearofthejigandisofsufcientlength
•Alwaysensurethecutterisnottouchingtheworkpiecewhenstartingtherouter
•Donotforcetheroutertoworktoofast.Thiswillresultinapoorqualitynishandcandamage
theroutercutter
•Allowthecuttertocometoacompletestopbeforeremovingtherouterfromthejig
•Alwayskeeptherouterbaseatonthejig'ssurface.Failuretodosocouldresultinthejoints
notmatchingup
•Donotover-reachthejig.Keepastablefootingatalltimes
