6 INSTALLATION

CAUTION
The appliance must only be installed by the
Sime
Technical Service or by qualified professionals
who
MUST wear
suitable protective safety equipment.
6.1 Receiving the product
Edea T
appliances are delivered in a single unit protected by
cardboard packaging.

The plastic bag found inside the packaging contains the fol-
lowing:
Installation, use and maintenance manual
Paper template for boiler installation
Certificate of warranty
Hydrostatic test certificate
Hanging Bracket
Connection pack

To leave packaging material around or near children
since it could be dangerous. Dispose of it as pre-
scribed by legislation in force.

6.3 Handling
Once the packaging has been removed, the appliance is to be
handled manually, tilting it slightly, lifting it and applying pres-
sure in the points indicated in the figure.

To grip the appliance casing. Hold the "solid" parts of
the appliance such as the base and structural frame.

WARNING
Use suitable tools and personal protection when
removing the packaging and when handling the ap-
pliance. Observe the maximum weight that can be
lifted per person.
6.4 Ventilation requirements
Detailed recommendations for the air supply are given in BS
5440-2. The following note is given for guidance. It is not nec-
essary to have purpose provided air vents in the room or com-
partment that the appliance is installed.
The minimum temperature of the installation room must NOT
be lower than
-5 °C
.

CAUTION
Before assembling the appliance, the installer
MUST
make sure that the wall supports the weight.
Remember to consider the space needed in order
to access the safety/adjustment devices and to
carry out maintenance interventions (see Fig. 21).
