A local mode TIC acts as a controller for the transponder cabinet if the TIC loses communication
with the Master Controller. When operating in local mode, an alarm on any fire alarm input circuit
will cause all alarm notification appliance circuits to activate. Relays and other auxiliary control
outputs will not activate. The local mode controller is limited to alarm functions.
