6. Check and balance blade. Use a balancing machine or
the fixture shown in figure 20. File material off heavier
end of blade until it is balanced.
^WARNING
Blade mounting capscrews must be installed with the
cup washer and spline washer and then securely
tightened as described in next step. Torque blade
mounting capscrews to 50-70 ft. lbs. (68 to 76 Nm).
7. Reinstall each blade with the tabs pointing up toward
deck and secure with a capscrew, cup washer, and spline
washer. Be sure the splines on the spline washer are
aligned with the shaft and the washer is flush against
blade. Be sure cup washer is installed concave side up.
Use a wooden block to prevent blade rotation and
torque capscrew to 50 to 70 ft. lbs. (68 to 76 N.m) (figure
21 ) .
