millivoltmeter. This would damage the instrument.
Always connect the meter in series with the load
across the voltage source.
Set the function switch at +D.C.
Connect the black test lead in the COMMON- jack and
the red test lead in the 50 pAMPS jack.
Set the range switch at 50 „AMPS (common position
with 50 V.).
Open the circuit in which the current is to be measured.
Connect the meter in series with the circuit. Connect
the red test lead toward the positive side, and the black
test lead toward the negative side of the circuit.
Turn on the power in the circuit which is to be mea-
sured. Observe the meter. If the pointer is deflected to
