How to re-use your wash water (Suds Return)
Single outlet hose
1.
Put the washing machine drain hose into the laundry tub.
2.
Make sure that there are no clothes in the washing machine
and close the lid.
3.
Make sure that the hot and cold taps are turned on.
4.
Turn the programme control knob to SUDS RETURN and pull
out the knob. The washing machine will let some water into
the bowl and will then pump it out to clear any air from the
hose. Then the saved water will be siphoned back into the
washing machine.
5.
Allow time for the water to be siphoned back into the
washing machine because it is a slow process. The water will
continue to siphon until the levels in the tub and the washing
machine are the same.
6.
When the washing machine has stopped siphoning, push the
programme knob in.
7.
Put the washing machine drain hose back in the drain outlet.
8.
Empty the laundry tub.
Rebalance indicator
Some models have a rebalance indicator light. This light tells you
that the washing load has become unbalanced while the washing
machine was spinning.
What to do when the rebalance indicator light comes on
1.
Open the lid.
2.
Redistribute the washing load evenly around the bowl.
3.
Close the lid and the washing machine should restart.
IMPORTANT:
If you open the lid while the machine is
operating, the rebalance indicator light will come
on. This is normal and it does not mean that the
load is unbalanced. When you close the lid, the
washing machine will restart.
Wash & soak option
With Models 540 and 740 you can soak your washing before
completing the wash programme.
How to soak your washing
1.
Set the option control button to WASH & SOAK.
2.
Turn the programme control knob to any wash programme
(except PERMANENT PRESS) and pull out the knob to start
the washing machine.
The washing machine will stop at the end of the wash cycle and
you can soak the load for as long as you like.
3.
Set the options control button to NORMAL. The washing
machine will then complete the wash programme.
