DISENGAGING
THE
EDGE
TRIMMER
KNIFE

The trimmer knife can be disengag
ed for sewing
operations
which do
not
necessitate edge trimming.
To disengage, push pivot pin A in
the direction shown in Fig. 24 until
the knife mounting block B is held
immovable by the disengagement
spring
C.

HINTS
FOR
PERFECT
OPERATION
* Keep
the
oil level in
the
oil reservoir at
the
HIGH mark.
*
When
turning
the
machine
pulley,
always
turn it
over
toward
you.
*
Always
keep
the bed
slide
closed
when
the
machine
is in
operation.
* Clean
out
any lint or other waste around the hook and between the
feedrowson the underside of the throat plate.
* Don't try to "help" the machine by pulling the fabric.
* Don't
press
the kneelifter
while
the
machine
is
running.
* Don't run the machine when threaded unless there is material under
the
presser
foot.
