OPERATING THE MACHINE
Figure 7-7 Connector tilted backward
Backward tilt is a common tilt condition for the
connector. In case of backward tilt, contact Sinoboom
or a service technician approved by Sinoboom
immediately to reposition the machine.
Tipping hazard
If the connector tilts backward and the
platform is raised, extend and lower the
main boom until the platform reaches
the ground. Do not use the machine
until the connector is restored to its
normal state.
Collision hazard
Before operating the boom tube, make
sure there are no people and obstacles
around or below the platform.
Before starting the repositioning operation, park the
machine on solid and flat level ground and make sure
that the machine is stowed.
1. Turn the ground/platform control select switch at the
ground controller to the ground control position.
2. Pull the red emergency stop button at the ground
controller to the ON position.
3. Turn the key switch at the ground controller to the
ON position.
4. Start the engine.
5. Raise the main boom slightly by about 0.2m (0.7ft)
to make sure that the main boom #1 and the upper
surface limit block #2 of the articulated boom have
no contact during the repositioning of the connector,
i.e. the distance L>0.

6. Pull out the manual release valve knob next to the
hydraulic tank and hold it while lowering the
articulated boom.

7. When the connector becomes perpendicular to the
turntable, stop lowering the articulated boom.
8. Close the manual release valve.
Unsafe operation hazard
After the connector is repositioned, the
manual release valve must be closed in
time, otherwise it may lead to serious
personal injury or death.
