1.4 Calculation of tractor ballast
Enclosure B standard SIST EN ISO 4254 –10
Due to the weight of the machine, the combination of
tractor and machine could become unstable.
Attaching the machine from the front or the rear or
both must not exceed the permitted total maximum
weight of the tractor, the permitted axle load and tyre
load.
The front axle load must amount to at least 20% of the
unloaded weight of the tractor.
The rear axle load must amount to at least 45% of the
unloaded weight of the tractor.
To calculate the total tractor stability, use the
following formulas.
