Why won't my Skil BW9501-00 motor run?
    • G
      gwalkerJul 28, 2025
The motor may not run due to a problem with the On/Off switch or power cord, damages motor, or the blade is binding. Have worn parts replaced before using the saw again. Do not attempt any motor repair yourself; have it repaired by a qualified service technician. If the blade is binding, remove the jammed material.

      Jill OwensAug 1, 2025
A blade may break due to too much blade tension, a kink caused by cutting too small a radius or turning the material too fast, or scarred/not rotating thrust bearings. Adjust the blade tension, use correct cutting techniques, and replace the thrust bearings.

If the motor runs but the blade doesn't turn, it could be due to improperly set blade tension or a broken drive belt. Use the blade tension lever to set the tension. If the drive belt is broken, have the tool repaired by a qualified service technician.

Why is my Skil BW9501-00 so noisy when running?
    • S
      Shannon ClineAug 14, 2025

What to do if my Skil BW9501-00 speed slows down?
