5 Operation
The indoor station is exclusively operated via the touch keys. The functions, as well as navigation in the menu are
accomplished via the touch keys.
To answer the call, lift the handset. To end the call, hang up the handset again. Please find the functions of the
touch keys in the table below.
Special key. Performs a function of the SKS switch actuator.
Light key. May be used for a function of the SKS switch actuator.
Tone key. The key is used to perform various functions.
Door open key. Opens the door after a house call.
Speaker key. Switches the ring tone off and on when it is pushed again.
Selection key. Melody selection.
A call from the front door to the indoor station is answered by picking up the receiver. To mute
the conversation, hang up the receiver. Pick up the receiver once again to turn the mute mode
off.
Please note that, once the call has been sent, the connection is kept for a maximum of 2 minutes.
5.2 Changing the volume of the ring tone
Keep the tone key pressed for some time to change the volume of the ring tone. The volume is
then changed successively. There are 5 possible settings and once the highest is reached the
process will go back to the first setting. To select a setting just release the key and this volume
will become the standard setting.
5.3 Switching the silent mode on and off
Press the button with the speaker key for about 5 seconds in order to mute the indoor station.
An acoustic signal will confirm that the process has been completed successfully. In addition,
the door open key will flash at one second intervals.
To deactivate the silent mode, press the speaker key again. An acoustic signal will confirm that
the process has been completed successfully.
