Traffic news (TP)
Radio stations with traffic news
The text TP (Traffic Program) is shown on
the display when you are listening to a
radio station that transmits traffic news.

Enhanced Other Network
stations (EON)
EON stations do not transmit their own
traffic news. When the traffic news function
is enabled, the traffic news transmitted by
other radio stations interrupts the
transmission of EON stations.
The text EON is shown on the display when
you are listening to an EON station.

Audio and volume adjustments for
traffic news
A volume increase can be set for traffic
news (see page 2-4). The volume can also
be increased manually.
Increasing the volume manually:
E During the transmission of traffic
news, turn the @ volume control to
the right.
The volume during the traffic news is
increased to a minimum value, if:
- a volume increase has been set for
traffic news (see page 2-4)
- and a reduced volume has been set.
Audio adjustment:
E Adjust the treble and bass settings
during traffic news (see page 2-6).

for future traffic news.
Traffic news
When this function is enabled, traffic
news interrupts the currently selected
audio source. If the function is disabled,
there are no interruptions.
The symbols shown in the top right corner
of the display have the following meanings:
Traffic news enabled. You are listening
to a radio station that transmits traffic
news.
TP:
Traffic news disabled. You are listening
to a radio station that transmits traffic
news.
El news enabled. However, this
radio station does not transmit traffic
news.
Interrupting traffic news
m Briefly press the [J button.
> The radio switches to the source
enabled prior to the traffic news.
Future traffic news transmissions will
interrupt the audio source again.
Audio mute except for traffic news
If audio mute except for traffic news is
enabled then the audio is muted and only
traffic news is transmitted.
It is also possible to fully mute the audio
(see page 2-4). In this case, traffic news
is also muted.
If the traffic news function is enabled
and a station is selected which does not
transmit traffic news, the function
will remain ON. In this case, only the
rectangular frame is displayed.
In CD mode the system automatically
searches for a station which transmits
traffic news, If the traffic news function
13 enabled in CD mode, the system is
tuned automatically to a station which
transmits traffic news.

E Press and hold the [E button until you
hear the acoustic signal.
> The traffic news function is enabled
or disabled.
